I found out this year that there is nothing truer than the saying
"Necessity is the mother of invention".

Being a young family I was struggling with the things most families struggle with - putting the needs of my children first - trying to meet the bills - and understanding that in the scheme of things there is nothing more important than my children or my family.

During all this, 2007 turned out to be a turning point in my family, a lot of unforeseen circumstances raised their ugly heads and true to form what doesn't kill you make's you stronger.

Through all the turmoil and heartache things were happening that were really beyond anyone's control even in my small, (sometimes dysfunctional) yet loving family.

As 2008 rolled around, we thought it couldn't get much worse.

Then my 9 month old nephew passed away, my grandmother (who raised me and is a mother to me) got very ill and was in intensive care.

If you knew about my grandmother and the amazing story she has lived you would be left speechless. One day you will hear her story, she is our family jewel, and I knew that once she left the hospital if she needed care, I would be there for her, she was there for me when I needed her as a small baby - she was always there for all of us - and now it was our time to be there for her.

So, we all banded together, I would live with grandma and take care of her on the weekdays… My cousins (we are like brothers and sister) and Aunt would take care of Grandma on the weekends - and my Uncle would come out when he didn't have to work and take care of her and whip us into shape (,he is the one that really know grandma inside and out…).

So come on where does the website come in, you say??

My aunt suggested that we put together a website that would help solve the needs of parents.

We decided we could have the wisdom of an older mom and the bubbly, enthusiastic energy of a younger mom all rolled up into one website!!

My aunt is a graphic designer, web developer and owns her own internet business (Artista Design) - she is passionate about children - as am I.

She knew I would love to do something like this and so would she so here we are!!
